Wow, its hard to believe my 14 year old grandson is traveling to
Rhode Island alone. He is a very good young man with a good head on his shoulders. I know he will be fine but dang it's hard to think he is old enough to do it on his own. He is going to see his Big Brother from Big Brothers Big Sisters group. Kyle has been so awesome to Sean. Even when he left the area he keeps in touch by either coming to Sean or Sending Sean a plane ticket to come to him.
He is a wonderful young man and means so much to Sean.

A wonderful surprise
I was overwhelmed with a wonderful surprise. My youngest daughter, her baby girl and her boyfriend flew in from NY for a Christmas surprise. Early yes but how wonderful it is to have them even for just a short time.

Trippin to Mexico
So this morning hubby and I went to Augua Prieta Mexico which is about 1 hour from us. Funny how just a couple of years ago you could cross the border and not feel uncomfortable about going. Now we just want to get what we need and get the heck back to the American side. I understand whats going on in our country but I don't really feel that Mexico is our enemy but I feel sometimes that they are made to feel that way.

Where I am
I mentioned being in the desert southwest. I live in Arizona.
I am actually a transplanted New Yorker. I was born and raised in upstate NY in the city of Cortland. My youngest daughter chose to go east after she graduated High School and resides in Syracuse. Miss her terribly!
I have actually spent more than half of my life now in Arizona. While I miss the seasons of the east coast, you just cant beat the mountain views and the absolutely gorgeous sunsets.
The weather is cooling off for fall now and it is the time of year here that I enjoy the most.
If I step out my front door I have a view of the mountains that can be breathtaking. In the evenings when the stars are out I can almost reach up and grab them. I love where I am. Its peaceful.

This and That
Hello! Welcome to my blog spot here on the web.
My name is Eileen
I live in the desert southwest and I have a tiny little soap biz called Desert Jems Bath House.
Sounds like a brothel but its not.
I am married, have 3 grown children and three wonderful grandchildren.
I love making soap and bath goodies. It is extremely relaxing for me and look forward to my days off from my job to pursue the soap. I hope to add pics as time goes by.
